Single from Godspeed Said The Rain (album)
Exploring the dependence of one person on another individual (home). When that person leaves, where does that leave you? How does it feel being so far from home? This track captures these themes of dependence and separation and is inspired by my departure from my physical home in California and living overseas. The sounds were inspired by vast desert landscapes, galactic environments, and windy mountain peaks. I recommend putting on your best headphones, closing your eyes, and imagining the world that this music depicts.

Lyrics
Long ways from home
Father forgive me
Father forgive me
Yeah, I think I’m lost
Lost but not found
You could be my bound
Bound me to you
I can tell that you love me
And I love you
I know you do voodoo
Magical life
Twist up on your thighs
Fuck me, love me, lust me
Say goodbye
It’s a long way home tonight
Yeah, I know why you cry
A part of me died
A part of me lied and said it’ll all be alright
It’s a long way home
Darling, where did you go
Open your door
Or shut it, let out the cold
But let me know
Let me go
