Part of what made cryptocurrency so attractive to me was its distribution across the world. Charts show that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are now mined in almost every country in the world.
The seamless decentralized nature of blockchain accommodates borderless transactions with small gas fees. This model allows for widespread distribution of digital value without the overhead of governments or central authority.
Africa Blockchain University
Africa attracts my attention in many ways. Unlike America, Africa lacks the capital and wealth distribution that drives capitalism and a rapidly growing economy. Most African nations do not take care of their citizens well or support startup / company growth. This unfortunate state leaves a vacuum of opportunity for tech and entrepreneurship potential.
In June 2019, I decided to join the Africa Blockchain University team to fulfill that “vacuum of opportunity.” In the past, the ABU has held blockchain events in over ten African countries while supporting hundreds of African talent. As a digital marketer who also advises cryptocurrency startups, I knew this was the perfect chance to provide support. I took this philanthropic position to provide free content and promotion of the ABU’s agenda to increase brand identity and attention.
Think Media Nigeria
Journalism is another interest of mine that I seek to fully explore. As a new editor of Think Media NG, I aim to show just that. I was the former Co-Founder and Editor-In-Chief of Crypto Weekly News which was shut down due to unnecessary server costs and poor maintenance. Joining this new team grants me the opportunity to write and edit content for an African reader base.
I am also in charge of mentoring a group of over 70 African entrepreneurs who regularly read Think Media and wish to grow their skill-sets.
